About Us

Producing Sport horses:

At Boleybawn we have concentrated on breeding, producing, and selling sport horses for over 10 years. Throughout this time we have focused on improving the quality of horses in our yard and this remains our top priority. We are fortunate that the main source of our high quality horses are bred from our own mares and this remains an important focal point.  We are very proud of the horses produced at Boleybawn and we are delighted to have a reputation for honesty, quality and most importantly success. We remain adamant that all horses advertised are as described and we gaurantee that every detail about each horse sold will be declared. We are always working to make Boleybawn a brand of excellence within the sport horse industry and that remains our goal.

Point-to-Pointers:

Point-to-pointing racehorses has become a strong interest at Boleybawn. Currently we are fortunate that we can boast a high rate of winners to runners with 1 winner from 3 runners this season and 3 winners from 5 runners last season. We have up to date facilities for training point-to-pointers as well as good knowledge and understanding. At Boleybawn we realise the importance of investing time in jumping (poles, hurdles, steeplechase fences) all our horses in training and we recognise how crucial it is to keep them interested and enthusiastic. Good preparation is the key and if a horse jumps fifteen fences well combined with peak fitness and health he has a high chance of doing well at a point-to-points. We are excited about the preliminary success we have had and we are enthusiastic about the future growth and development of training point-to-pointers to success. Look up recent successes to find updates on our point-to-point winners including Boleybawn Quikstar, Rockers Field, Fairwood Bob,  and True Illusion.

Bold Cent stretches out winning her maiden at Loughamore. I was particularly proud of this win as it was her 19th run, only her 5th while we had her in training. She finished 5th,4th,3rd,5th,2nd and then won while in training at Boleybawn, breaking her maiden at the age of 7 having been racing since 4 years old.

Boleybawn Quikstar won his maiden for us in Taylorstown. He was subsequently sold and has won a maiden hurdle and a beginners steeplechase since.
